waiting out this hurricane with my grandmother to make sure her basement doesnt flood or anything like that
actually having a lot of fun
we have had some great conversations (luckily she hasnt talked about politics)
i never knew that her and her father sang at many variety shows all over maryland during the great depression or that her dad only made it to the 8th grade because his brother had polio and the family was quarantined
its cool that there are always new stories to hear
some of them i’ve already heard but some of them i’m hearing for the first time because i’m finally old enough or no one ever thought i’d be interested before
