just finished brian friel’s translations
really one of the best things ive read recently
the impact of language culturally, as the english suppressed the irish in the 1830s, is fascinating
even though i like a lot of playwrights ive never been extremely fond of reading plays but this one i just didnt want to put it down
i think i might not be good at describing things ive read that i like
i mean im an english major and could write a whole analysis on the play, but when im recommending something for others to read i always feel like im giving too much away
